First of all, HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO OUR SWEET PRECIOUS ANGEL, BAILEY ANNE!!!! What a wonderful day of memories we have made (we understand that these memories are for dad and mom mostly...but I can say her memories will be documented in all of the pictures and video we took today)!!! Our little princess woke up bright and early, like usual. We started our day off just like any other day, except with a lot of "happy birthday, Bailey"s and singing a lot more "Happy Birthday" songs. :) Daddy took the day off, so the three of us played in daddy and mommy's bed until it was time for breakfast. We got ready for the day...and then some of Bailey's friends (and their mommy who happens to be this mommy's good friend) stopped by with a balloon, bubbles, and a flower lollipop. Then she got to open presents with Daddy and Mommy. She got some cute new outfits, and travel doodle board, and some books (the rest to be revealed after her party on saturday). Next was nap time.

When she woke up she played with her toys, and her balloon. Then we went on a family birthday date (chad and i have decided to start a tradition of going out to lunch or dinner on every family member's birthday just our family) where Bailey got to ride in her "big girl" car seat for the first time. We took her to Chili's.

The waitress overheard the couple across the way (that Bailey was talking to and winking at) ask us how old she was. We told the couple it was her birthday, and then the waitress got so excited. Halfway through the meal she brought Bailey some balloons, that she said she was searching for because she thought they didn't have anymore. When she brought dessert out, she brought a coffee filter for a birthday hat for Bailey girl, and then she offered to take the above picture! We had a lot of fun! Bailey went down for her second nap when we got home. When she woke up, it was time to take our "15th" picture (for those of you that don't know, I take a picture of her on the 15th of every month since she was born, in my rocking chair, to chart how much she grows each month). What a little stinker she was being. She did not want to sit still. We finally got a good one, but Daddy didn't get his hands out of there fast enough. So after we feed her dinner, and ate dinner ourselves, we took her to the park for her last birthday outing. It wasn't too hot in the shade, and she had a blast riding down the slides with Daddy and Mommy, and trying to get to the grass.

We came home, finally got a good "15th" picture, and then began our bedtime routine. There was a special exception...Daddy got Bailey a birthday cupcake. She loved it. She was a little unsure of what to do with it at first...but she got into it and got messy!!!

We got her cleaned up, and then it was time for bed! What a day! It went by too fast. Before we knew it her birthday was here...and now before we know it, it's gone! Time sure does fly when you become a parent. I know it is so cliche...but wasn't my little angel girl just born yesterday?? I still remember exactly how it felt the first time she was placed in my arms...a completely overwhelming love for the little girl in my arms. It wouldn't be right to say it's the same overwhelming love now. It is definitely different, but in a good way! My love for my little girl...my ANGEL...grows stronger and deeper with each passing year (now), month, week, day, hour, second...and on and on. Everytime she smiles or laughs...it makes me heart soar! Oh what a wonderful and complete joy it is to be a mother. But not just a mother, HER mother!! Chad and I are so completely blessed by our sweet precious Bailey, our gift from the Lord. What an honor to know that she is taken care of so far beyond what we could imagine by our Father in heaven, and yet, He chose us to be her caretakers while she is on earth! I have been trying all month, all week, all day to think of how I would be able to express my love, adoration, and pride for the little girl who is now sleeping soundly in the next room, on her birthday. The thing is, it can't really be put into words. I love her more than those three words will ever mean written out. I guess only the other moms will able to know the love a mother has for her daughter. It seems greater than anything!!
I love you my sweet precious wonderful Angel, Bailey Anne. You truly are a gift from the Lord. Thank you for your sweet personality, and happy heart! For your smile that lights up a room! For everything that you are to me! Thank you for showing me what it means to be a mommy. Thank you for always loving me, even when I fail you miserably. You will never know how much you mean to me, or how much I love you!! Happy 1st Birthday, Sweetheart!! I love you!
Love, Mommy
